Spam Filters
Get familiar with e-mail spam filters, the things they do and how you can activate them.
An email filter is a piece of software that runs on an email server and keeps track of all inbound emails so as to prevent any unasked-for ones from entering a particular inbox. A few instances of such email messages would be: offers for pills or cash, fraudulent bank statements or attachments that contain malicious code sent with the idea of infecting your computer. Spam filters typically check the content of an email message and in case they detect certain keywords or other suspicious content, they either delete the email or redirect it to the Junk/Spam folder instead of the Inbox folder. Certain providers combine their own email filters with up-to-date databases from spam-tracing organizations, so as to ensure better security for their clients. Such databases include patterns, mail server IP addresses and other information about spam emails recently revealed by these organizations.

Spam Filters in Shared Hosting
Our
shared hosting servers use one of the best anti-spam filters available. It’s called SpamAssassin and is offered with each and every shared hosting plan, so if you host your domain names with us, you can opt for one of the 5 levels of safety that the anti-spam filter offers for any mailbox that you have here. You can accomplish this with only two mouse clicks from the Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel that’s used to manage all cloud web hosting accounts. SpamAssassin examines the header field and the body of each message, calculates a spam score and then proceeds in accordance with the level that you have opted for. Every email account can have a different level and you can choose if the messages that the spam filter flags as spam should be erased or redirected to another mailbox where you can check them later, so as to prevent erasing an authentic email message. Changing the level or disabling the protection is also incredibly easy.
