Catch-all Emails
What precisely is a catch-all e-mail account? How does it work? How do you set up such an account?
A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten address under the exact same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
Creating a catch-all email mailbox will be rather easy if you’ve got a
Linux shared service with our company. You can enable this option through our advanced, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your web hosting account. You will see all the email addresses that you have created enumerated in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a certain mailbox gets all the email messages for a certain domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any time. In case there is enabled email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain, you will receive a warning notice from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all functionality can be activated effortlessly in case you have a
semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in your account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will see a small-size logo handily situated right next to each of them. With only one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the context menu that will show up. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
