Access Log Manager
What's the objective of the Access Log Manager? What sort of information will it provide you with?
An access log is a text file that contains a full list of all of the files accessed by your website visitors. All the files that were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script application and a website visitor opens just the home page, for example, you may find a lot of files inside the log. The reason is that there are elements on the home page that are embedded - parts of other webpages, pictures, and so forth. All of these files will be listed in the access log, so that you can get a full picture of the way your site works. The info is in plain text format, so the logs are frequently called "raw data" too. An access log contains the name of every requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, plus the user’s IP address, web browser and OS. More info, like the referrer website, is usually provided too. A log file may be processed by various desktop apps for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats created by your server.
Access Log Manager in Shared Hosting
Our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel includes a section focused on various logs and the access logs are one of them. As soon as you sign in to your shared hosting
account and go to this section, you will find a list of all the domains and subdomains which you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to every domain/subdomain. When the option is enabled, you'll see a download link together with the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your PC and look at it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect immediately, so if you don't require one, you could stop it with a mouse click from the exact same section of the CP. You shall still be able to access the already developed content by clicking on the Download link.
Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
You'll be able to check out detailed access logs for any site that you host inside a semi-dedicated server
account set up on our revolutionary website hosting platform. Our cutting-edge Hepsia hosting Control Panel will permit you to enable the function for each domain or subdomain inside the account separately, so that you can get logs exclusively for the sites you need. When you sign in, you can navigate to the Access/Error Logs section where you will see a list of all the domains and subdomains that you've added or created and an On/Off button on the right side of every one of them. Initiating or disabling the generation of access logs is as easy as clicking on that button and the change will take effect at once. You can easily save the logs in .txt format by clicking on the Download link situated in the same section. The latter will be available at all times, even if you deactivate the function for a specific domain address or subdomain.
